Morgan Tucker was initially recognised for Investors in People in February 2007 and undertook its first post recognition review in March 2010.
The assessment was carried out by assessor, John Walden. We had a very successful review and the key strengths that the assessor highlighted were as follows:
Summary of Strengths
The culture within Morgan Tucker is one of including everyone and of supporting and developing each other. This is achieved by having standard processes that are effectively applied.
The communication processes that relate to those employed by the company are working effectively. Everyone understood what the company was trying to achieve, and what was required for them to contribute to the organisation success.
Key capabilities consist of Communication Skills, Training, Team Work and Management.
Leaders and management capabilities have been shared with staff. People can describe what they expect from those in leader and manager positions.
Every effort is made to implement suggestions and ideas made. Individual contribution is recognised almost daily by commenting on activities being carried out, for a job well done, for work on a project and going the extra mile. Feedback was spontaneous.
The environment within Morgan Tucker is one of involving people and enabling them to make day to day decisions.
Staff commented that the company had always had a culture of continuous improvement and felt that when an area that could be improved was identified action was taken there and then.
Managing Director, Matthew Tucker said "our people are very important to the growth and development of the business and as such we are keen to ensure that we create an environment that enables them to become the best in their field. Our recent successful IIP assessment shows that the effort we put into this part of the business has paid off".
