What is a Travel Plan?
A travel plan is a specific package of measures tailored to suit the needs of individual organisations and businesses that is aimed at maximising the spatial and transportation resources available and promoting greener, cleaner travel choices. Travel plans are not ‘anti-car’ initiatives; rather a way of emphasising alternatives and offering practical measures on improving accessibility.

Increasingly, local authorities are asking for framework travel plans to be submitted alongside planning applications prior to development
